FileMonitor version 1.0 (Windows 95/NT)

FileMonitor is a program which allows users to monitor
selected directories and/or groups of files. FileMonitor
runs as an icon in the Windows System Tray. It periodically
checks the status of the selected objects and notifies
the user if any changes are detected. FileMonitor checks
for NEW files, DELETED files, and CHANGED files.

FileMonitor is most useful in an office environment where
documents are shared through a common location. Each user
can monitor the directory and be notified of relevant
events.


Installation
------------
To install FileMonitor, run the included SETUP.EXE program.
The setup will install several shared files in your Windows
System directory. These are common files distributed by
Microsoft. The FileMonitor.exe (54k) will be installed to a
user specified directory. A shortcut to FileMonitor will
be added to your Start Menu.

You may wish to copy the FileMonitor shortcut to your
Startup folder.


Use and Distribution
--------------------
This program is SHAREWARE. You are granted the right to use it 
for 30 days. The program is fully functional and will not disable 
or change its functionality in any way. However, if you use it 
for longer than 30 days without payment, you are violating the 
license.

You may freely distribute the program AS IS with all included 
files. You may not modify the program or any of the included files.
